Escape Brisbane

Brisbane is comfortable, but comfortable is incredibly overrated. These little gems maintained my sanity and fed my appetite for adventure over the past summer. If you’re looking for some inspiration for a weekend escape, scroll on.

Byron Bay – an obvious choice, but of course.

Mount Coolum & Coolum Beach – the rock pools down at the beach are the perfect place to cool off after the 40 minute round-trip hike.

Boreen Point – a true Australian getaway, 20 minutes from Noosa.

Cedar Creek – a freshwater alternative.

Snapper Rocks, Coolangatta – the real surfer’s paradise.

Sunshine Beach

As winter approaches, I’m on a mission to find some idyllic little spots outside of Brisbane to suit the cold, fresher days. Places such as Mount Glorious, and this cute little coffee house.

In saying that, I love the beach in winter so I guess I’ll just have to swap bathers for a knit.
